Everything Synchain Does
Synchain is a music and audio production collaboration platform that runs in the browser. Teams work project by project, and a single project holds the real-time hi-fi room, VST3 direct connect, project files, the team calendar and the discussion board.
It is built from four core parts: Creative Space (real-time collaboration), VST3 direct connect (DAW audio), the Collaboration Hub (files, scheduling, discussion) and the platform layer (browser and network).
Creative Space: a real-time room tuned for audio work
Every project comes with a permanent Creative Space. The big difference from a general-purpose meeting app is that its audio channels are designed for music — the microphone and DAW audio run on separate paths, so music is never mistaken for noise and squashed by a processing chain tuned for speech.
- Independent microphone path: it never interferes with your DAW audio, and two selectable noise-suppression algorithms are built in, so music and voice no longer fight each other.
- Professional Audio Mixer panel: set the microphone level of every member in the room individually, with level meters for reference.
- Full-chain bitrate control: bitrate, resolution and frame rate for DAW audio, microphone, camera and screen share can each be set independently.
- One-tap voice-only mode: when speech is all you are sending, hand the whole bandwidth budget to it and spend your resources where they count.
- Adjustable Buffer Size: tune the input and output buffer sizes by hand and strike your own balance between low latency and stability.
- 24/7 always-on room: walk in whenever you like — no booking, no time limit.
VST3 direct connect: send your DAW's raw sound into the room
Synchain Bridge is a VST3 plug-in for Windows. Insert it on a stereo track or bus in your DAW and the session audio travels through a local WebSocket service to the browser, which then streams it on to everyone in the room — no virtual cabling, and no extra post-processing. macOS support is planned.
- The plug-in sends audio block by block, at whatever buffer size the DAW hands it, so no extra latency piles up.
- The master volume inside the plug-in only controls the copy being streamed out; the sound on the DAW track itself is left untouched.

The Collaboration Hub: project files, team calendar and discussion
A collaboration produces more than sound. Synchain keeps files, scheduling and discussion under the same project, and all three modules are open to the command line and to AI automation.
- Project files: manage folders and sessions in a tree, with a built-in audio preview so you can audition straight from the browser.
- Calendar: record meetings, listening sessions and deadlines with a range of event types, and maintain the whole timeline from the command line as well.
- Discussion: keep the conversation focused on a specific version or release, quote project files and click straight through to them; AI reformats and summarizes in one tap, and posts made from the command line automatically carry an [AI] badge.
The platform layer: open a browser and you are in
The collaboration side of Synchain is a pure web app: guests need no software at all to enter the room. Only the people who need to share DAW audio install the plug-in.
- Runs entirely in the browser with zero installation — clients and partners join simply by opening the link.
- Deployed on Vercel's edge network for nearby access, with files stored in Cloudflare R2.
- Audio and video streams are relayed through hosted servers, so no public IP is required.
- Chinese, English and French are supported natively, switchable in one tap from the top right.
Synchain compared with the traditional remote workflow
